about me
Zu Dominiak is an illustrator, cartoonist, arts educator and curator.Zu holds a PhD on comics as an educational tool for museums from University of Dundee. They currently are a Senior Lecturer in Comics Studies and Contextual Studies at De Montfort University. Prior to that they obtained a BA in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, and Comics and Graphic Novels Master of Design at University of Dundee.Zu has worked with a wide variety of collaborators internationally, with work published in UK, Poland, Australia, Burkina Faso, Mali and Uganda. Clients include: Manchester Museum, University of Dundee, Somewhere for Us…, Imperial College London, University of Bournemouth, University of Southampton, Target Malaria, Homecooked Festival, Digital Writers Festival. Zu regularly creates and publishes comic art and exhibit at festivals, reaching new audiences and establishing new professional connections. As part of this Zu often works with other scholars to turn their research into easy-to-understand resources that can be distributed to the public. A large part of their work is comics; however, it is not limited to it. Zu frequently does editorial illustration, children’s books, and a wide variety of other publication design, recently including board games.
